The past week I have been so ridiculously tired. I just can’t seem to get enough sleep. Between working full-time, triathlon training, blogging and wedding planning I’m thinking that I am just a little too busy for my body & mind’s comfort levels. Last Sunday I had fallen asleep on the couch and my future hubby woke me up so I could get onto the bike to finish my final workout for the day. As he was dragging me off the couch he says, “Get up! You’re not going to become an Ironman if you don’t go and bike.” I was so touched by his support. I’m one lucky lady.
Fitting in training has been a challenge. Last week it was due to the snowmaggedon blizzard that overtook Minnesota. Fortunately, I had great workouts before and after the storm. This week I’ve spent two days in Kansas City at a Midwest Dairy Nutrition Communicator workshop, and traveling to Duluth over the weekend to spend my birthday with family and fiancée. The dairy workshop was amazing. I love being an ambassador for dairy. I think dairy farmers are wonderful, hardworking people that often don’t receive the credit they deserve for providing a wholesome, nutritious, safe food to consumers.
Here is this week’s training schedule. While I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to get done during this busy week, I gave Coach Joe permission to kick my butt next week.
Monday: 1,900 yd swim + strength training
Tuesday: 30 min run + core workout
Wednesday: Rest day (Traveling home)
Thursday: AM track workout + 2,800 yd swim
